Portman Travel's win of a four-year framework agreement for
Travel Management Service Providers by Buying Solutions (the
national procurement partner for all UK public services) in
September 2010, provided the ideal opportunity to extend their
significant experience within the private sector to deliver
outstanding travel solutions, whilst providing value for money and
continuous innovation, to public sector organisations.
Williams was appointed following the win and is responsible for
securing new public sector business and managing senior level
relationships with key bodies, including the Cabinet Office and the
Efficiency and Reform Group.
Williams said: "The focus on getting value for the public's
money has never been greater and I'm looking forward to showing
exactly what we can do to meet the increasingly complex travel
requirements in this sector. The Public Procurement Show is an
ideal platform for us to showcase the expertise Portman Travel can
bring to this area."
Michael Hare, Chief Executive Officer of Portman Travel, said:
"As a business, the public sector is an important new market for
us. Katrina's appointment and our presence at this show is
important for our strategic commitment to this sector."
