Eurostar rail rates. As a founding member and equity partner in the
Global RADIUS group of travel management companies we are able to
leverage over $19 billion buying power to drive rail savings to our
clients. We are able to utilise this partnership to identify the
best rail rates at a local level in over
3,600 cities across 80 countries worldwide.
Rail fares have become as complex as air fares and require
specialist consultants to ensure the best ticket price is
obtained. The route, journey time and ticket type will affect
the price of each ticket. Our technology platforms are geared
to sourcing the lowest available fare and in addition, Portman
routinely offers excellent discounts on standard ticket prices for
our customers based on different time options and through the
combination of one way fares.
Car
Portman has preferred supplier agreements with the leading car
hire companies on a global basis and is able to provide
preferential rates for our clients.
Through our technology platforms, Portman has access to over 20
car rental vendors, covering 28,000 rental locations, providing
access to 21 million rates worldwide. If a client has a corporate/
negotiated rate with a car rental firm then these would be built
into the client's profile and adhered to at the time of
enquiry.
Ferry
Portman has access to the leading ferry companies to provide
competitive pricing options.
We utilise a variety of methods to source the most
cost-effective itinerary for each specific journey, including Ferry
company websites and booking directly with the supplier by
telephone. As Ferry services are not currently bookable via
the GDS, we make extensive use of the www.aFerry.co.uk
website, which provides an at-a-glance overview of routes by
operator, enabling us to better focus our search.
