LiveWire Online Booking Tool

Portman Travel's online booking tool 'LiveWire' is the interface for the AeTM and Evolvi systems, thereby providing the travel arranger with a simple access to the widest choice of fares in the marketplace.

The Portman Livewire Helpdesk is available Monday to Friday 08.30-18.00 and covers all issues dealing with the use of the system.  Outside these times operational support is provided by Portman 24, our emergency out-of-ours support team. They are able to provide info on existing bookings or can make additional reservations on your behalf.

LiveWire - key features
1.  Access to over 520 air vendors, 83,000 hotel properties and 45 car hire companies worldwide. LiveWire searches scheduled airline and low-cost carrier websites to display fares and availability simultaneously, ensuring a comprehensive search for the most competitive fares for any flight. The system also has access to a large number of low cost carriers.

2.  Display of fare options in a number of ways including low to high fare formats and automatically indicates flexible, non-flexible and non-refundable options. LiveWire can also display options that are not specific to the original request but provide substantial savings.

3.  Customisable to reflect the unique company travel policy and restrict access to certain airline carriers or class of travel, ensuring complete policy compliance and safeguarding your travel policy. Travel policy management is highly flexible within LiveWire and can be loaded from a global level right through to preferences for specific individuals. If the person booking travel attempts to select an option which is outside of the company travel policy, controls within LiveWire can either reject the selection, prompt for reason codes, or complete the booking but notify an administrator via email.

4.  Customisable fields, such as cost centre, purchase order number or job number can be made mandatory for any booking.

5.  Comprehensive traveller and LiveWire user profiles are held to include payment, cost centre and billing information, frequent flyer membership, and meal and seating preferences. These profiles can be maintained by the travellers or their authorised travel bookers.

6.  Management of corporate discounts, negotiated airfares and corporate hotel rate deals. All negotiated airline deals or preferred hotel properties can be highlighted.

7.  Bookings are confirmed immediately within LiveWire and via email to the traveller and person making the booking.  Historical data on past and cancelled bookings is stored within the system.

8.  The booker is able to cancel and change their LiveWire bookings up to the date of travel. After that, and also for low cost carrier bookings, amendments are made through the LiveWire HelpDesk to ensure they are correctly processed without incurring unnecessary charges.
9.  Hotel policy can be administered in two ways.  Firstly, hotel rate limits can be imposed by region, country and city.  Secondly, LiveWire can be restricted to only book a customer's preferred hotels in any city where you have a negotiated hotel programme.

10.  LiveWire also takes advantage of Portman Travel's own negotiated hotel rates as well as RADIUS global hotel rates.
